My Approach to Helping
Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you or someone you care about is important. I have 20 years of experience helping adults, adolescents, and children with a wide range of issues. I work collaboratively with clients to develop an in-depth understanding of the reasons they are facing challenges in their lives, and to help them reach their goals.

More Info About My Practice
In addition to my private practice, I teach and train masters and doctoral students at the University of Chicago; provide clinical supervision to psychotherapists and others professionals working with children, adolescents, adults and families; and provide mental health consultation to organizations.

I practice on a sliding fee scale basis. I am a fully licensed practitioner and therefore clients are typically eligible for insurance reimbursement. Payment for initial consultation and therapy sessions are due at the time of each appointment.

My Role as a Therapist

In my private practice, I focus on helping people feel better about themselves, find direction in their lives, reach their potential, have healthy and satisfying relationships, manage life transitions, build resiliency, reduce stress and anxiety, and manage and cope with difficult emotions. I believe the therapist-client relationship is an important part of therapy. I work at developing trusting and supportive relationships with my clients that facilitate and promote change.
