My Approach to Helping

I am a skilled and practiced counselor /marriage and family therapist with insight and experience in dealing with many different issues, difficult problems, and complicated situations. You will find me to be non-judgmental, caring, easy to talk to, warm, and direct. I avoid using the typical psychobabble. I will listen and work to understand the issues you need help with. From there we will explore how you ha've gotten to this place in your life, possible solutions, and areas of growth. In our first meeting, we will make certain that I am the right therapist for you. I concentrate on the strengths within a person or couple, and work to build off of these assets. Though I am direct, I welcome and am very open to diversity in areas of faith and spirituality, sexuality, race, life experiences, and family history. My goal is for you to have a safe place to be just who you are. I bring a diverse experience and skills. It takes a lot of courage to make the first call to a therapist. I have firsthand experience with that as a client myself. I feel very honored to work with the people I do. They all strive to be wiser and stronger in their living.
