My Approach to Helping
I work with couples who are experiencing emotional distress due to communication problems, conflict, distancing, and an overall feeling of disconnect with their partners. My strength lies in being able to move freely between the male and female viewpoints to help people see the often missed global perspective of their relationships, which is essential to fostering healthy change and reestablished connection.
I also work with individuals struggling with feelings of stress, unease, anxiety or depression stemming from issues such as life transitions/change, divorce, grief and loss, issues unique to women and other problems that can impede one's general sense of well-being and/or happiness.
My style is direct and collaborative, and not without a little humor. I strive to create a safe and open environment for people to freely talk about what they think and feel, and to give them the sense that they are truly being heard and understood. My goal is to help people gain insight into their situation and feelings, empower them to take the steps leading to the attitude and behavioral changes they want to make, and support them during this process.
More Info About My Practice
Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes and are $100 per session for individuals and couples. 75 minute sessions are also available for couples and are $150 per session.
I am not currently accepting insurance. However, some companies reimburse for out-of network mental/behavioral health services. You may want to check with your plan to see if this applies for you. I will provide you with the appropriate documentation you need to file.
