My Approach to Helping
My approach is respectful, caring, and client-centered. I help clients identify what they would like to explore and work on, setting goals together, and focusing on strengths and resources. My approach is also direct and active; I make suggestions for things to try outside of sessions and often recommend books to read. I view my job as largely that of instilling hope and teaching tools and skills that clients can use to move forward in their lives. I truly love people and believe in the innate drive for growth.
