My Approach to Helping
I am a profound stand for the healing and transformation of my clients. I am continually evolving my practice of psychotherapy as well as myself by staying on my professional and personal growth edge. For over 23 years I have assisted people in dramatically changing their lives and have implemented and created cutting-edge therapeutic programs. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and am EMDRIA Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have trained extensively with Katherine Woodward Thomas and Claire Zammit, Co-Creators of Feminine Power Transformational Coaching and Calling in "the One" Love Transformational Coaching.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am passionate about using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist ALL clients in becoming the most effective, happiest people they can be. In my intensive DBT training (a year long program) I learned to "live, eat and breath DBT) and use it actively in my life even today. I also love using DBT with the client population for whom it was designed by developer, Marsha Linehan, individuals struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder or Borderline traits.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

In my opinion the purpose of psychotherapy is simply transformation, whether that be from living in fear to living in freedom, from a miserable life to a life worth living or from a loveless life to one full of love.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love assisting clients in making the changes they desire to make. I am committed to aligning myself with my client's goals, dreams and aspirations. I am dedicated to standing with my clients in their strengths and in their vision of the life they desire and helping them overcome the obstacles they have been encountering to having that life up until now.

My Role as a Therapist

I see my role of therapist as being one of deep acceptance of my clients right where they are now while knowing that they can do better, can up their game and can push themselves outside of their comfort zone in order to transform their lives.

My Therapy Focus

The focus of my therapy work is always empowerment and capacity and skill development.
