My Approach to Helping

As a Marriage & Family Therapist, much of my work revolves around relationships. While relationships take on many different forms today, I believe the most important alliance is with oneself. Learning how to treat yourself in positive and healthy ways leads to offering others the same respect. This in turn, teaches other people how to treat you. Building healthier relationships with the world around you is the secret to a happier life.I hold the opinion that it is a fundamental human need to be heard and valued for our experiences. With this in mind, I work primarily from a Cognitive-Behavioral framework, listening actively to the universal, yet unique stories that each client brings into therapy.My specialty is in treating individuals who may be carrying around past hurts, or unresolved grief. Often people are unaware of how emotional drain is infecting their lives today. I enjoy helping people to detach from unhealthy patterns of relating to themselves and their world.I offer a free phone consultation and am willing to work on a sliding scale to make therapy work for you if there is a commitment.

I have several office locations in Orange County: Irvine, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Orange and Rancho Santa Margarita.

I am a contracted provider with Blue Shield, Aetna, Magellan and Tri-West Insurances, and can accept all other PPO insurance plans.
