My Approach to Helping
Dr. Preng is a Rice University graduate with over 20 years experience as a professional Psychologist. Her career emphasis has been on relationship repair and couples work. She is a seasoned marriage therapist who understands that while many relationships can be mended, there are others who need help in navigating separation or divorce with grace and dignity.
Dr. Preng believes that warmth, humor, and collaboration are essential to the therapeutic process. She has chosen to maintain a small boutique practice. This allows her to offer a level of personalized attention which is rarely available from therapists constrained by the managed care "high volume" model.
Fees for services are commensurate with local doctoral level practitioners at $150 a session. She is an "out of network" provider for most insurance companies and will provide a fee statement for clients to file with their carrier so that they can be directly reimbursed.
