THIS MIGHT MEAN RET OR RATIONAL EMOTIVE THERAPY WHICH HELPS THE INDIVIDUAL UNDERSTAND THE INTERNAL THOUGHT PATTERNS, THE INNER DIALOGUE, THAT CAN CAUSE NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE FEELINGS AND BEHAVIORS. PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPY HELPS US MAKE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN ONES HISTORY, SUBCONSCIOUS ISSUES, FEELINGS, THOUGHTS, BEHAVIORS AND LIFE-PATTERNS. MINDFULNESS THERAPY IS A METHOD OF LEARNING TO CALM ONESELF, LISTEN TO ONESELF, AND INCREASE SELF-AWARENESS BY BECOMING MORE "PRESENT".

FINALLY, THERAPY SHOULD FEEL LIKE A SAFE PLACE TO BE HEARD, UNDERSTOOD, AND PRESENTED WITH EMPATHY, WHERE YOU KNOW THAT ALL YOU SAY WILL BE HELD IN CONFIDENCE. IT MAY TAKE 2-3 SESSIONS BEFORE YOU WILL KNOW IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR THERAPIST. IF NOT, A REFERRAL WILL BE IN ORDER.
