My Approach to Helping

Very rarely in our lives are we given the opportunity and the space to truly look at ourselves, where we have been, and the person we are looking to become. I create an environment where you can safely look at yourself, relationships, and potential barriers to achieving your goals. My relationship-based training in Social Work + Child Development has given me the background to notice and work through the conflicting messages, thoughts and emotions present not only in the parent-child relationship, but in every relationship. I work with my clients to better understand and negotiate these most important relationships.

My professional experiences have provided me with training in a variety of issues. I treat parents who are seeking a greater understanding and connection to their young child, and children suffering from trauma, loss, and behavioral difficulties. I also work with adults coping with depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and anxiety.

In treatment, clients are given the space to safely uncover the meanings behind their responses to situations along with their limits to achieving their life goals. At first, the thought of beginning therapy may feel stressful and overwhelming. I encourage you to look beyond your fears and contact me. I look forward to meeting you
