My Approach to Helping
Hello! I enjoy working with a variety of clients, from children to families and adults. I have found that I work particularly well with individuals who have suffered trauma and its after affects. Many times these individuals are part of a family or a couple, who also need assistance in dealing with the trauma.
I feel that my areas of expertise are working with family disruption as well working with those who have trauma and loss. I enjoy working with both children and adults along with families. I often work with people who struggle with PTSD, other anxiety disorders, ADHD and depressive symptoms.
My practice is extremely welcoming and is a peaceful place to visit. I do everything I can to ensure that omy clients feel comfortable and safe while they are with me. I have the benefit of having a small location which allows clients to feel secure and not exposed to to any additional stressors.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
I think the most important factors in choosing a therapist are feeling comfortable with that person and like you can be 100 % your self without fear of being judged. It is important to me that my clients feel safe and accepted just as they are.
What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
At the beginning of therapy, usually at the first visit, I described my "style" as it were. I offer clients my trust and hope for change, but also ask that they are honest with me if I am wrong about the feedback I provide. I explain that I too am very human and make mistakes, but that I would like to join with them in their journey. I ask that clients share with me if they are feeling overwhelmed. That gives us an opportunity to break down therapy into smaller pieces and to determine where those feelings are coming from. If a client asks to stop. I stop. However, I always promise to revisit the issue, but gently.
