My Approach to Helping
"Taking the first step toward getting help is often the most difficult, please don't hesitate to call. In assisting you, I take into account mind, body and spirit. Self esteem, relationship, career and life transitions are typically explored. In this exploration, the experiences that are a part of life such as: stress, depression or illness and how they impact each of us are examined. Authenticity is essential in the counseling relationship. This means that I meet you with no specific agenda but, listen to who you are and what you need.
As an experienced and empathic professional for 30 years I focus on how you are attempting to adapt to lifes' struggles. Naturally, your strengths and goals are considered.
I have experience and post doctoral training in severe anxiety, pain management, depression, sexual dysfunction and crisis in career/life change. I have completed professional certification from the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and I am an American Association of Sex Educators Counselor and Therapists diplomate."
