I believe that meaningful therapy is possible when you feel deeply heard, understood, and appreciated while you are experiencing challenges that may seem overwhelming. Your unique story is important to me and we can work together to try and make sense of it. I will take time to listen to you and learn what is most helpful for your growth and well-being. This includes hearing about your strengths as well as your struggles. You will be encouraged to share your ideas about what you hope to accomplish as we create goals together. You will have the opportunity to learn new tools and access the wisdom you already have, which can provide hope while you are going through a difficult time. We will explore ways for you to find balance and manage stress in your life. My approach offers compassion and respect for your process.
More Info About My Practice
Some of my specialties include working with grief, relationship issues, life skills, and fostering positive self-esteem. I have helped people process changes, challenges, trauma, or significant losses while also exploring what provides meaning and a sense of purpose in their lives. My training in crisis intervention has allowed me to provide on-site grief counseling in situations that involve unforeseen losses. The work I have done with individuals and their families in hospice care environments has helped me feel comfortable supporting others with end of life issues.
