Jim is the president of Total Life Counseling Center and he has 15-20 Counselors volunteer at his Summer and Day Camps. From this group of counselors he often hires 1-2 each year to join his team so he can offer the best counselors to take the guess work out of finding a counselor.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
At our counseling center we hire the best counselors and choose specialists in 3-5 areas of counseling so our clients get results. Also, look for a therapist that encourages their child or teen to share what they learned each session so the parents so are in the loop and feel like their students is getting something from counseling. Last, look for a therapist that will give you a plan after the first or sometimes the seconds session along with homework!
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Parents are often relieved when their kids meet Jim! His use of humor and his relational approach often has students laughing and connecting with Jim in the first few minutes! Additionally he will meet you in your home, or play basketball or go to Planet Smoothie or Starbucks with them to meet them on neutral turf!
