My Approach to Helping

I believe everyone is the expert of his or her own life. Sometimes we encounter blind spots along our journey, which can prevent us from reaching our full potential or cause us to repeat painful patterns that keep us from growing. I believe the role of a therapist is to help clients recognize these blind spots so they can move past them and live more productive, meaningful lives. People have a strong desire to create meaning in their lives, but often do not possess the skills or tools to do so. My role as a therapist is to help clients build those skills so that in the future they can handle life's challenges effectively.

More Info About My Practice

I am also a firm believer that many of our symptoms such as depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, addictions, and so forth are rooted in negative childhood experiences. It is usually helpful to revisit any childhood traumas or losses in order to heal them and stop the deep-seated patterns of unconscious choice.
