My Approach to Helping

I always start where the client is, working to keep my clients functioning in the moment and not reacting to the past or future. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy, with a focus on changing cognitions, which in turn changes behavior, which therefore causes a different reaction to one's environment - therefore changing one's emotional content.

 

More Info About My Practice

I work with adults in the morning and early afternoons, self-pay $65/session. I work with children and teens using a Play Therapy format from 3pm to 8:15pm, Monday-Friday, with a self-pay rate of $45/session. Insurance Reimbursement.

 

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I have been very successful working with Children with ADHD, Anxiety and Aspergers. I have written three books: "The ADHD Kid", "Anxiety Disorder Handbook", and "Play Therapy by Jeffrey Roosa." I teach Play Therapy to students, as I am a Graduate School field instructor for many Graduate schools in my region. Parents of children who have came to me over the years have expressed tremendous satisfaction.
