Philosophy of Care at Minneapolis Therapy and Marriage Counseling

It is other life; it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, and the joy of growth. ~ Mitsugu Saotome

These words evoke a sense of longing. We search for love, joy, harmony and growth in our lives. We desire a life that matters; one with purpose. In every stage of life we crave completeness and unity. Yet, life's meaning is revealed in the process of living. Development of deeper relationships with ourselves and others creates wholeness. Therapy and spiritual growth are tools to attain this state.

The clinicians at Minneapolis Therapy and Marriage Counseling, Janette Ayd, a licensed clinical psychologist and Molly Cavanagh, a licensed independent clinical social worker, will assist you in finding solutions, overcoming obstacles, and living the life you want. At some time everyone needs assistance in dealing with the challenges of living. We offer a process-based methodology and cognitive behavioral therapy to help you change the way you view the world and, hence, take control of your actions and behavior. Balanced with professionalism and experience, it is our goal to engender security and ease within you through our down-to-earth, non-judgmental approach. You may be assured we are dedicated to providing the best counseling in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Treatment Approach:

We use an eclectic approach to therapy. We draw upon our training and skills in cognitive behavioral therapy, marriage and family systems, interpersonal, solution-focused and mindfulness methods of treatment. We individualize our approach to what best meets your biological, psychological, and social needs.
