My Approach to Helping
I believe that all people are innately good and want to be happy and the emotional pain we feel when we are profoundly unhappy, or when we feel trapped by our fears and worries points the way for healing. This is our starting point. My part in our work together is to provide a safe, respectful place to deeply hear and understand you and to gently guide you through the process of releasing and healing emotional pain. I know firsthand that "talking" about our troubles is not enough even though it does help. We need to go beyond talk and learn how to "release and heal" the emotional pain that keeps us trapped and unhappy. In the process, we deepen our ability to listen to the quiet voice within that guides us with clarity and truth. I believe "It's in everyone of us to be wise." It takes courage to do this kind of emotional "work." And the rewards are there for all of us who do.
During our first meeting, I'll "get to know you" and listen to your experiences and concerns. And together, we'll identify specific goals, and then work strategically to meet these goals. In this way, an individualized program is designed just for you, one that addresses your deepest concerns and helps you to make the changes you desire. I am interactive and collaborative and I believe in treating you the way I want to be treated, with compassion, respect and forthright. My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and increase the skills that support health and well-being for youself and your relationships.
