I believe that good therapy helps you get in touch with yourself in ways that identify new possibilities and support new ways of being. Working from this premise, I will encourage you to slow down and come into contact with feelings, sensations and other aspects of your experience. I trust that given support and the right tools, you will move through areas of difficulty and emerge feeling empowered with new skills, awareness and choices.
My training includes Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy, EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, somatic work with trauma, and a Masters degree in Somatic Psychotherapy from Naropa University. My philosophy about therapy has been shaped by my meditation practice and my background in bodywork and Ch'i Kung (moving meditation). I work with a wide range of issues, and have worked extensively with survivors of sexual abuse/assault and with individuals suffering from chronic pain.
Because of the personal nature of psychotherapy, I offer a complimentary half-hour consultation to give you a chance to get to know me and determine whether working together would be a good fit. I am available to work with individuals, couples and groups from all walks of life. For more information, please visit my website: www.inspiredintegration.com. Please feel free to call or email with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you.
