My approach to helping: In my more than 37 years of counseling, I have found that effective therapy has the ability to transform individual lives in ways now and in the future.
My entire career has been devoted to counseling and my most valued technique is listening. Proper communication between the counselor and client will lead both parties on the road to discovery.
Together, we will discover present obstacles that stand in your way of you achieving your personal goals. This road of discovery will help us to unravel negativity that stands in the way of you building a productive and positive lifestyle.
By focusing on where you are now, we work together to assess what it will take to get you where you need to be in the future.
I specialize in rehabilitation counseling for persons experiencing mental and physical disabilities and substance abuse.
Professional Organizations: I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Clinical Professional, Certified Recovery Support Specialist and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. I am a member of the Mental Health Association, Illinois Counseling Association, the National Rehabilitation Association, Illinois Mental Health Association, the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities in Illinois.
