My Approach to Helping
I am experienced psychotherapist who is committed to helping my people cope with life changes and develop self-reliance and self- acceptance in all areas of life. I am comfortable working with people of all cultural backgrounds and ages. I specialize in working with people with disabilities/chronic illness, GLBTQ and women's issues. My post-graduate education includes a certificate in interpersonal psychoanalysis and trauma training and I am open to using other forms of treatment including behavioral modalities, mind-body work and stress reduction. I believe that therapy is based on confidentiality and trust and that it is an interpersonal and real relationship. I am empathetic and interactive. I have offices in Park Slope and Greenwich Village.
