My Approach to Helping
I believe in empowering a person's natural capacity to grow towards health through supportive therapeutic relationships. I strive to help my clients THRIVE instead of just survive. My approach is client-led and varies depending on the particular needs of the client in the moment. My orientation and training includes Systems Theory, Attachment/Object Relations, Mindfulness practice, Cognitive Behavorial Therapy, LifeSpan Integration, Feminist, Existential, Narrative, Solution Focused, Structural, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, and Gottman Marital therapy techniques. The therapy process works to replace dysfunctional belief systems, help individuals to improve emotional and physical regulation and coping skills, to gain awareness and insight to learn to think more clearly, and make healthy decisions about life and living.

I am also willing to discuss and negotiate fees on a sliding scale. While I do not directly bill insurance, I do offer a statement for you to submit for reimbursement.
