As the host of a weekly internet radio show, the Open to Hope Show, I have interviewed thousands of people who have gone through great adversity. I am the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Open to Hope Foundation, an organization which inspires people to find hope after loss. In addition to my clinical practice, I teach at Columbia University. I am frequently quoted in the media and have appeared on numereous radio shows and as a grief expert on the ABC television program 20/20. Since 2002 I have worked with families who lost a firefighter in the World Trade Center.
