My Approach to Helping

Sometimes life presents us with challenges that are overwhelming. I work to provide a non threatening, non judgmental space to work on thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Finding your authentic self and appropriately expressing your desires benefits an overall well being. I collaborate with each client individually based upon the specific circumstances and am able to use several different theories and techniques to provide desired outcomes. I see individuals, couples, and families to benefit the relationships in between. Everyone has the potential to live a happy and fulfilling life, sometimes we just need to be nudged in the right direction.

More Info About My Practice

Sometimes getting to the office is difficuIt. I offer virtual therapy as an online telehealth provider through a HIPPA compliant platform.
I also offer a sliding scale for clients in need. Often insurance companies limit the number of therapy sessions they will cover. Your mental health is more important than their timeline. If you have benefits you would like to use, a statement and letter of services can be provided for you to file for reimbursement. My practice has also been authorized to accept HSA cards.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love being a therapist because everyday brings the opportunity for growth and new discoveries. I enjoy listening and have a compassion to help others discover happiness with inner peace. I feel that it is a privilege to see the transformations clients make during our time together.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Knowing we need help and reaching out to get it, are two very different things. Therapy is an interactive experience and should be customized to your needs. Some people need a sounding board; others need help navigating through difficult times. The benefit of having a therapist, is having someone completely outside your everyday life, to collaborate and work through difficulties without any biased opinions. Therapists can give honest evaluations of circumstances and help find solutions that you may not be able to see, when you are caught up in the middle of it. Reaching out and getting that support is the first step, in having a more harmonious life.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

My goal is to help find resolutions as quickly as possible but also uncover the reasons behind behaviors to prevent them from tripping you up again. There is not a limited number of sessions allowed or required. Most people prefer weekly sessions and as therapy needs decrease, sessions should as well. As a client, you may end our counseling relationship at any point. I will be supportive of your decision. If therapy is successful, you should feel that you are able to face life's challenges, in the future, without my support or intervention on a regular basis. From time to time, clients return, with a new circumstances to work through or when life changing events unfold.
