Therapy is a collaboration between the therapist and client. It is a co-created experience. I value mutuality, authenticity and transparency. I work to create a safe accepting non-judgemental environment. The therapeutic relationship is an important vehicle for change. Psychotherapy expands awareness and understanding and allows for a full range of feelings to be experienced. I work to help my clients feel their emotional lives in doses that they can tolerate and integrate. In a supportive psychotherapeutic environment feeling deeply into ones life can act as a "vaccine" allowing the client to tolerate those feelings, thoughts and experiences better in ones actual life. The goal of therapy is to bring this greater sense of consciousness into ones life in order to create choice points for new, more useful and fulfilling ways of being in the world.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of therapy is to expand awareness and understanding so that one can bring greater consciousness into their everyday lives in order to make choices rather than be at the affect of organized patterns of reactioning
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I see therapy as a culturally subversive endeavor. In a over stimulated, compulsive mechanized world therapy stands for the sanctity of the interior experience and the human condition. Therapy provides a safe quiety place to reconnect to ones inner world and allows and encourages the person to step into their full humanness
