Grant Writer - Mental Health

GoodTherapy.org (GT) is an organization dedicated to encouraging healthy forms of counseling and psychotherapy and one of the leading therapy referral associations on the internet. GT provides referrals and training to thousands of member therapists worldwide and aims to inform the public about the benefits of healthy psychotherapy. The intention of GT is to promote collaborative and non-pathological forms of psychotherapy in an effort to reduce harm and to bring more “health” into the field of mental health.
 
GT is currently looking for an experienced Grant Writer who can help us to locate and apply for grants. We are interested in grants from federal institutions and private foundations which aim to subsidize counseling / therapy services for low-income individuals and families as well as for special populations, such as veterans returning from Iraq. We hope to manage the subsidies and deliver funds to our member therapists for providing pro bono and sliding scale services to qualifying individuals.
 
Applicants do not need to work on site, though must have access to a well functioning computer, high-speed internet access, and can be reachable by phone, email, or instant message. Applicant must be a GT member or qualified to become a member. The selected applicant will have excellent communication and organizational skills and a passion for making a positive impact on the community. Previous grant researching and writing is a must.
