My Approach to Helping

Someone once said to me that the purpose of therapy is the offer of 'more life'. I understood that to mean developing and expanding a fuller awareness in order to make different choices and determine a new narrative. How do we get to that place?

We will focus on your actions, historical patterns, relationships and the context of these dynamics. We will pay attention to the 'self talk' and investigate ways of re-framing rigid cognitive messages. Through this process we will locate areas of strength and resiliency and tap into unexplored resources that facilitate individual growth, fluidity and self-knowledge As we gain more understanding, the promise of 'more life' is realized.

More Info About My Practice

I am a certified sex therapist and have extensive training in both sex and couples therapy. Sexual concerns may include sexual anxiety, body issues, sexual dysfunction and desire disorders. I am a member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists), the American Association of Suicidology and CAMFT.
