" People most often seek therapy in order to change something because they get "stuck" in their relationships, careers, behaviors, feelings and thoughts. I am confident that positive change is always possible and that we all have the ability to make positive change happen. However, we all sometimes need a little assistance getting there. I offer a non-judgmental, supportive approach in my work. Please do visit my personal website (click the link above) for complete details about my practice. You will also find some helpful articles, printable handouts and useful links there! There are many theoretical models of psychology and counseling. Some are best utilized for particular situations and needs. Often, an eclectic approach, or the blend of several approaches is best for the resolution of problems. I do utilize several schools of psychological theories and methods in my work. However, it is the Cognitive-Behavioral Model that anchors my orientation to counseling. The premise is that the way we perceive situations influences how we feel emotionally, and so by changing thoughts, behaviors and feelings will change. "
