My approach to counseling is integral: mind, body, spirit. The therapeutic relationship is one that creates safety for a person to explore, increase awarenss, heal and change.
The person's needs will elicit the approaches that will best serve during the counseling process.
Generally the goal is clarification of consciousness , healing of conscious and unconscious wounds, increase alignment of mind and heart, increased power of choice and ability to follow through with action steps of choice. Also to practice thinking more intentionally and strenthen the ability to witness and be aware of patterns of thought as they arise. Another aspects is the managment and navigation of emotions and emotional states.
Coaching is more goal directed and action focused.
Couples work will focus on learning to listen and improve communication and understanding.
