Have you ever wondered why life has to be so challenging? Do you spend time trying to understand these challenges and devise solutions for working through them?
Are you seeking solutions that will help you establish a strong sense of self in your life and career? Do you want to become stronger and better equipped to achieve your goals?
If so, I can work with you to help you gain more happiness and to achieve your dreams.
The frustrations of life are impossible to avoid. But how do we deal with these frustrations? How do we grow and move forward in trying circumstances? I've endured my own suffering, and have experienced firsthand how helpful therapy can be for achieving happiness, inner peace, and insight to move beyond challenges.
I offer genuine compassion and care. I'm an open-minded and insightful registered mental health counselor intern (#IMH-10124) in Florida, and am the owner of Be Well Within, LLC.
Be Well Within offers counseling and coaching services to help clients heal, grow, and gain insight. I offer practical alternatives to modern medicine, and I adopt an eclectic approach, implementing elements of cognitive-behavioral, family systems, gestalt, mindfulness, and existential therapies.
I graduated from Troy University with a master's degree in counseling and psychology, and hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida. My own experiences -- including the loss of my mother, the loss of friends and family due to accidents and illnesses, the loss of pets, family struggles with substance abuse, and a family history of anxiety disorders -- provide me with keen insights and a strong motivation to help others create healthier environments for themselves and their loved ones.
My professional experience, educational history, and personal experiences combine to make me a knowledgeable, compassionate, and mindful therapist who takes great pride in helping clients tackle a host of problems. Together we can help you gain more peace.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help
I have the clients fill out a history form so that I can learn a little more about their family and their history. In the first session we will talk about what brought them into therapy and what they expect out of therapy. I also will ask if they have had experience in the past with therapists, and if so what was the experience and reason they went.
I like to make the therapy process as much about the client as possible, and I want them to have the input and see what they expect and wish to gain.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I believe that therapy does not have that stigma that it did have for so long, years ago. Therapy has evolved over the years as the school of thought about going to see a therapist. People don't hesitate to go to a medical doctor to help them if they have a cold or another illness, but if they are stressed or other ailment they sometimes hesitate going to a therapist. Going to see a therapist could be one of the best things that you do for your over all health, and self care. It is nice to talk to a neutral party that will have advice and knowledge on the issues that may be troubling you that you may not be able to seek from family or friends.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
I believe it is important for the client to call and talk to different therapists before choosing the therapist they want. I offer a free 30 minute phone consultation as I feel that is a good way to get to know the therapist before you make the appointment. The client should also look at the different profiles to see if they have experience working with the issues they are coming in to therapy for.
