My Approach to Helping

"It's all about the relationship!" This has been a focus of training for me through out my professional career. Most problems we face in life have to do with relationships, whether with other people, our own self, with God, or even with things like food, substances, or possessions. As a counselor I work with clients to help them develop healthy relationships. I help clients work through their own conflicts on their time to reach the goals they wish to achieve. I use a variety of tools to fit your needs and not my own.

More Info About My Practice

ONLINE COUNSELING is now available to individuals and couples. You can go to our website at www.lifeconnectcounseling.com or call our office at 636-328-6543 for more details.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Couples Conflicts - I work with couples who struggle with all kinds of issues. My role is to help you find meaningful and effective ways to not only resolve any conflicts but also create new patterns of behavior and thoughts to reach your desired goal with your partner or family.

I also have two Masters degrees. My first is a Master of Arts in Theology. I practiced for 15 years as a Family Minister, coach, trainer, and consultant. My second Master of Arts degree is in Professional Counseling. I provide Christian counseling for those who request it. I work with people from all denominations and beliefs helping them from their own theological framework. For those who are not Christian, no worries, my role as a counselor is to help you where you are in your life.

My Therapy Focus

My focus in therapy is always on the client(s) here and now first. While future goals are important, it is often hard to move to your goals when the ground under your feet feels like it is unstable or slipping away. Helping clients develop skills to deal with their immediate crisis is the first priority. As the client becomes proficient and balancing things in the here and now, we can then begin focusing on the future. Often times dealing with the here and now prepares us for dealing with problems in the future. It is through this process that clients learns self-confidence, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency.

In other words I don't just treat the symptoms but work with clients to address the source or cause. Along with my Masters Degree in Counseling, I also have a Masters Degree in Theology and provide Christian and Spiritual counseling for those who request it.
