My Approach to Helping

You want to reignite connection and passion with your partner. The distance between you seems vast and has been there for so long that you don't know how to bridge it anymore. The love between the two of you used to be strong but you don't know how to bring it back. You know you both played a role in creating the distance. You want to fix it but you aren't sure about your partner. You'd like to try therapy but you need someone sharp enough to keep up with you.

I specialize in issues just like these. I know how to help you use this time to maximize positive relationship changes. I have an active style that focuses on stopping the hurt and helping you connect. Because I specialize in relationship *and* sexual issues, once the emotional connection is reestablished, I know how to help you reignite passion too.

When you contact me today I will get back to you within 1 business day. We'll schedule a 15-20 minute phone call to make sure there is a good fit between your needs and my services. On the call I start by answering your questions, then I ask about what is bringing you to therapy and a few screening questions. Then, I'll share what you can expect in the first few sessions. If everything sounds like a good fit, we can discuss my fee and schedule an appointment.

Don't wait any longer to reach out and begin making the changes to end arguments and jump-start the passion with your love. Call me today or click the link for my website and fill out my contact form.

More Info About My Practice

In my practice I am invigorated when my clients across a week are racially and sexually diverse. You may find your identity below for more information about my service to people like you.

African-American: Because I have not forgotten where I come from, I know that I have learned from and owe a debt of service to the Black community members so it is an honor for me to serve Black clients and Black men in particular.

IndianSouth-Asian: I lived in India for almost a year as a young man and lived with families. This gave me an appreciation of Indian family dynamics and insight into the bicultural experiences 2nd generation Americans of Indian descent.

LGBTQ+: Queer space has always been safe space for me. As a member of the queer community, I love giving that feeling of safety back in the therapy room.

KinkBDSM: I'm Kink-knowledgeable meaning I'm familiar with a broad array of kink practices and the Safe, Sane, and Consensual (or R.A.C.K. if you prefer) structures that make them safer. I don't squick -out easily and I know that most of the time, the kink doesn't need to be a focus of treatment.

Consensual Nonmonogamy: Whether you are a swinger, open, poly, or a relationship anarchist, I'm prepared. I can work with individuals, dyads, and more-somes in therapy and I can help with jealousy, relationship agreements, broken agreements, and multilayered communication.

My Therapy Focus

I love helping people with relationship and intimacy issues. I work with couples, individuals, and systems to help improve relationship satisfaction by stopping unproductive emotional cycles, improving communication skills, cultivating mutual empathy and compassion, and helping to create the relationship environment where intimacy can bloom.

It can be challenging to talk with a therapist about sexual issues. For that reason, I take any conversation about sexual issues at the client's pace. I maintain a professional atmosphere where we only talk at the level of detail required for me to understand the challenge and to offer suggestions for changes.

Groups I Work With

I specialize in working with sexual and relationship issues. I often serve straight, gay, monogamous, openpolyamorous, and BDSMkinky clients.

I also serve members of cultural groups other than my own. I lived in India for a while as a young man and this cultural knowledge has often served me when working with bicultural IndianAmerican clients. I also went to High School in North Minneapolis where I gained some cultural knowledge of the Black experience. I have continued developing my racial identity and racial justice work since that time and have a consultant to help me stay culturally competent when serving Black clients.
