My Approach to Helping
Do you find yourself struggling with a troubled relationship?

Are you feeling worried or sad, or having difficult experiences which you are unable to understand or make peace with?

Perhaps it feels as though something is missing, or that there is something weighing you down which you cannot name.

Sometimes, an experience in the present, or an unresolved hurt from the past may be pointing to a part of you which needs extra support and attention.

I listen deeply and compassionately to all of you - your feelings, thoughts, bodily sensations, dreams and hopes - and work with you to deepen your connection to your innate wisdom and capacities so that you can be more authentic and alive in the present.

More Info About My Practice
I believe that effective therapy can be life-changing, and I am committed to making my services as accessible as possible. I understand that we are experiencing tough financial times. I accept some insurance and offer a sliding scale to those who need it. If you feel that we might be a good match, I invite you to call me to discuss your financial situation and what we might both feel comfortable with.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

It is normal to have mixed feelings about beginning therapy. You may feel drawn to therapy due to a crisis, a problem in a relationship, or feel that something is amiss in your life. On the other hand, beginning therapy can be scary, particularly if you have had a negative experience in a prior therapy, or have never been before. When selecting a therapist, I always encourage people to interview a potential therapist by asking questions which speak to your specific concerns. If you are nervous about beginning therapy, try to reflect on why you are nervous and formulate some questions about that. For example, you might ask a therapist, "What do you do if a client is feeling overwhelmed?" A good answer might be something like, "Well, I strive to be attuned to my clients and track how they are feeling in the moment. If I sense that they are overwhelmed, I might ask them if they are. I also invite my clients to give me feedback about how the work is going for them at all stages of the therapy." Any therapist worth their weight in salt will welcome such questions and happily answer them.
