My Approach to Helping
"Learning to make better choices not only relieves your anxiety and stress, but it also improves your family and work relationships"

For over twenty years, Dr. Horowitz has specialized in individual, couples and group psychotherapy. As an author, she is a recent contributor to PsyBC, the award winning online continuing education website for mental health professionals. As an educator, she has taught as an adjunct professor of advanced clinical courses at Adelphi University's School of Social Work, she has supervised therapists in the GLAP training program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and she currently supervises at the Institute for Human Identity. For many years she has received referrals from several university counseling centers, including New York University.

"In treatment, I work with clients to help them to find better ways of coping with their relationship issues, workplace stress, anxiety, and, depression. The goal of the treatment is to help clients to find a more satisfying and meaningful way to live."
