My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

When working with clients who are experiencing real life mood and behavioral issues such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder, anger issues, and relational avoidance etc. A therapist if properly trained can inform, educate and inspire a person to connect for the purpose of identifying the very things creating and contributing to the issues troubling their environment and lives. Skilled therapy can work with a depressed person to: 1.Pinpoint the life problems that contribute to their depression, and help them understand which aspects of those problems they may be able to solve or improve. A trained therapist can help a person identify options for the future and set realistic goals that enable him or her to enhance their mental and emotional wellness. Therapists also help people identify how they have successfully dealt with similar feelings in the past. 2.Identify negative thinking patterns that contribute to feelings of hopelessness and helplessness that accompany depression. A good Therapist is there to help dissolve doubt responsibly regarding negative self perceptions. A trained and competent therapist can help nurture a more positive outlook on your life and sphere of influence. 3.Explore other learned thoughts and behaviors that create problems and contribute to depression. Therapy can help a person understand and improve patterns of interacting with other people that contribute to their mood and perception of daily life.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

To be able to serve people. To save Lives,Relationships, Families, Marriages, Parent -Adolescent relations. To be able to test and use the sciences to dissolve doubt and explain through the use of science and wise appeal why a person or partner may be doing a certain behavior that alarms and sends wrong messages to loved ones or others. Through discipline resources we can show and interpret the strength based noble intentions of individuals sometimes wrongly accused and being misunderstood. It is always my goal to search for the nobility and good in every individual and to draw responsible attention to it. In neurosciences we see that much of what people do and not do is influenced by chemistry, envirionment and traumatic experiences. Sorting through these dynamics has much to do with a thorough and skilled professional. As professionals we must also be great alliance builders committed to always edify, educate, encourage and comfort all who cross our paths.Helping and assisting people to make positive life changes through increasing their personal understanding of themselves and those impacting their environment is my daily passion and commission professionally. To serve and assist people to forgive and love themselves is a noble step to release them to love others, family and community.
