NFL Week #11
Essential Practice Notes from Wednesday
 11-14-2007

Bills rookie RB Marshawn Lynch was not at practice Wednesday. Lynch has a very sore ankle and is looking very iffy for Sunday. Coach Dick Jauron said, "I would say we're not overly optimistic.” On Monday Jauron said Lynch felt he would be able to play Sunday. Today, when asked if it could be more than a one-week injury Jauron responded in the affirmative.
---

Look for Bills rookie RB Dwayne Wright and veteran RB Anthony Thomas to fill in for Lynch if he can’t go Sunday.
---

QB Rex Grossman is expected to start for the Bears this weekend as they travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks. For his part, Brian Griese was not at team practice Wednesday.
---

Denver WR Javon Walker (knee) did not take team drills Wednesday, however he was able to do some light route running today. That said, Coach Shanahan still considers Walker more of a long shot for Monday night. Walker said, “taking it day-to-day.”
---

RB Travis Henry stayed on the sidelines Wednesday resting his knee injury. On the plus side, his MRI examination was “good,” according to Coach Shanahan. Henry could return to practice Thursday.
---

TE Tony Scheffler (chest) got reps in today for Denver.
---

K Jason Elam (calf) did some work today and he should be ready for this weekend. However he could be listed as questionable or probable this Friday.
---

RB Shaun Alexander (knee) did not practice Wednesday. We’ll have more in the next 24-36 hours.
---

Cardinals QB Kurt Warner (left elbow) took reps Wednesday. However, Warner said he is still very sore with his bad left elbow. Last week, the Cardinals pulled Warner on the goal line in favor of Tim Rattay. The feeling is Rattay can hand off the ball better than Warner due to his sore elbow. This move could cost Warner more than a TD or two moving forward.
---

Falcons QB Byron Leftwich (ankle) got some limited practice in Wednesday. Afterwards, Coach Bobby Petrino said, “he looked pretty good.” he also added, “The thing you worry about is how the ankle will react in the morning,” and “If we were going today, Joey Harrington would start because we don’t know how Byron’s health is.”
---

As he typically is, Falcons RB Warrick Dunn (team decision) took reps off Wednesday.
---

Falcons RB Jerious Norwood (ankle) is improving and he got some limited reps in at practice Wednesday. Coach Bobby Petrino said, “His quickness was back along with his cutting. The other day I thought he had a chance to go, but he couldn’t make the cutback toward his left.”
---

Falcons WR Joe Horn (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.
---

Ravens QB Steve McNair (left shoulder) did not practice Wednesday and was ruled out for the week. As we told you several days ago, look for McNair to likely miss 2+ weeks.
---

Ravens WR Demetrius Williams (ankle) did not practice Wednesday and was ruled out for the week.
---

Ravens TE Todd Heap (thigh) did not practice Wednesday. He’s still not 100% and his status as an elite Fantasy TE is fading fast this year. Plan accordingly.
---

Panthers RB DeShaun Foster (toe) did not practice Wednesday. Foster has rested on Wednesday in the past and played well on Sunday.
---

At QB, Carolina’s David Carr was healthy to practice Wednesday and has been cleared to play. Still, the team is calling the starting QB for this weekend day-to-day.
---

Carolina WR Steve Smith (shin) did not take reps Wednesday. We'll have more Thursday.
---

Bengals TE Reggie Kelly (knee) got back on the field today but was limited at practice. He’s not someone to count on.
---

RB Rudi Johnson (hamstring) got work in today at practice. Johnson also said his hamstring is feeling better, but it's still not 100 percent. He admitted it has inhibited his ability to accelerate.
---

Cowboys WR Terry Glenn (knee) did not practice Wednesday and was ruled out for the week.
---

Lions QB Jon Kitna (back) was limited at practice Wednesday. They are resting him as his back became sore early this week.
---

Packers WR Koren Robinson was held out Wednesday as he always is with his knee. He is expected back later this week.
---

Packers TE Bubba Franks (knee) did not practice Wednesday and was ruled out for the week. That remains good Fantasy news for TE Donald Lee (rib), who took reps Wednesday.
---

Texans RB Ahman Green (knee) did not practice Wednesday. They continue to be careful with Green. Head coach Gary Kubiak said, “He’ll come out tomorrow and do a little bit and then we’ll go from there, and all it takes is a thumbs up from him.”
---

Texans WR Andre Johnson took team drills today and looks to be back in the fold. He was not listed on the team’s early injury report.
---

Texans K Kris Brown (left foot) was limited at practice Wednesday but should do more later this week.
---

Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez (hand) did not practice Wednesday and he’s not expected to play this weekend.
---

Colts WR Marvin Harrison (knee) did not practice Wednesday. He remains very iffy for this weekend and once again will likely be a game time call. The Colts play at home this weekend so official word likely won’t come until 90 minutes before game time (1PM ET).
---

Colts WR Aaron Moorehead (back) did not practice Wednesday.
---

Colts TE Bryan Fletcher (calf) was limited at practice Wednesday.
---

Colts TE Dallas Clark (concussion) practiced on Wednesday.
---

Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (foot) did not practice Wednesday and was ruled out for Week #11.
---

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) did not practice Wednesday and will not play this weekend. He could miss 3+ weeks and come back in somewhat limited fashion when he returns. Come week 14 or 15, the Vikings could be out of the race and at that stage they certainly would not want to rush Peterson and risk losing him for the start of 2008.
---

Patriots QB Tom Brady (right shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday. This is normal.
---

Patriots WR Wes Welker was limited at practice Wednesday. No injury was listed. It was called a team decision. Welker was seen in pads so it does not seem to be a major issue.
---

Giants RB Derrick Ward (ankle, groin) did not practice Wednesday.
---

Giants WR Plaxico Burress (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Despite the recent bye week, Burress’ ankle is not getting any better, however he still starts. He said on Monday it felt worse than at any time this season. "It is the same old story," Burress said Wednesday. "You guys ask me the same question every day. It is sore, it is hurt. I play hurt, and I go out and perform the best way that I can."
---

Raiders QB Josh McCown (quadricep) did not practice Wednesday. Kiffin said Josh McCown’s injury combined with the struggling offense prompted the move to go to Daunte Culpepper to start this week - Week #11.
---

Steelers RB Willie Parker (hip) did not practice Wednesday. He’s being rested.
---

Steelers WR Hines Ward (team decision) did not practice Wednesday but will play Sunday.
---

Rams WR Isaac Bruce (hamstring) got reps in Wednesday. However, WR Torry Holt (knee) was limited at practice today. Look for both to play Sunday.
---

Bucs starting RB Earnest Graham (ankle) got some time off at practice Wednesday. He’s being rested.
---

Bucs RB Michael Pittman (ankle) missed some drills at practice Wednesday.
---

Bucs WR Joey Galloway (team decision) was limited as he always is Wednesday or Thursday. The Bucs continue to give Galloway extra rest this year.
---

Bucs WR Ike Hilliard (calf) was limited at practice Wednesday. He should do more late in the week.
---

Redskins WR Brandon Lloyd was hurt on the last play of practice when he caught a ball in the end zone today. Word is he broke his collarbone and will miss significant time. He has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
---

Redskins WR Santana Moss did not practice Wednesday. He continues to be iffy for this weekend as he continues to recover from a heel injury.
---

Redskins WR James Thrash (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. With all the Redskin WR injuries, they signed WR Burl Toler to the practice squad today.
