My Approach to Helping

It takes strength and courage to face our problems head on yet, if we don't we will only continue to live in doubt of ourselves and the world around us. Starting therapy is not an easy choice but, hiding behind our fears will ultimately just leave us feeling stuck. I believe we all have a warrior inside of us that can get us through anything life has to offer and I would like to be a part of your process in discovering this internal strength. As a compassionate, strength based therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and specialize in supporting those who are survivors of sexual abuse and assault. My philosophy draws from the premise that everyone has a basic core of goodness, peace and joy and at anytime these qualities are accessible to us. Our work together will be focused on supporting you in finding your strengths and learning how to access them to support yourself and your relationships through difficult times. I believe that life is a learning experience filled with opportunities and teachers that come in many forms. Because change is constant, each of us goes through phases of challenges and of peace, and as such my attention will be on supporting you and your relationships in riding through these times rather than resisting or struggling.
