My Approach to Helping
I am a caring, strength based therapist. I help people identify core issues and the changes they want to create in their life. My belief is we must look inside ourselves to discover the road blocks to change. My passion is working with people and relationships. Often personal growth comes through the interaction with others. Couples and family therapy are particular interest for me. I help clients resolve their internal and external conflicts in order to transform themselves to the person they desire to be. I also work with clients on emotional and behavioral change. I am trained in Emotional Freedom Technique which has been successful for many people struggling with issues of anxiety, depression and trauma.

More Info About My Practice
I have 20 years of experience as a mental health professional. I work with young children, adolescents and adults. Couples, families, young children and working with anxiety and depression are a few of my specialty areas.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I help people work through relationships issues whether it's with a spouse or significant other, children, co-worker, etc. Relationships impact our entire lives and personal change is often created through relationship with others.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

I believe that each client is in charge of their therapy. I allow my clients to move a pace that is comfotable for them and I do not push people to address topics or issues until they are ready to do so. The therapist/client relationship is very important to me and it is through this relationship that trust is built and therapy can begin. I also allow time and at the end of a session and assist each person to calm any feelings that may have been triggered during the session in order to return to their day feeling composed.
