My Approach to Helping
I work closely with clients to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship free of judgment. Listening to individual needs and assisting clients to reach their personal goals is something I value in working with other. I believe that people have the potential of reaching their personal goals and sometimes get stuck in their life's journey. I work with clients to identify their goals and unravel and understand the obstacles that get in their way of achieving their goals. I have worked in day treatment centers for people with HIV/AIDS, inpatient units for children & adolescents, children hospitals, shelters, schools and have experience with a broad range of people and am empathic about their various individual needs. As an art therapist, I work together with my clients to select art materials that best allows them to express their individuality to engage them in their own process.
