My Approach to Helping
I am dedicated to helping my clients discover a positive path forward in their lives through empowering what is healthy and true in them. I work in an open, engaged, collaborative manner and have a warm, empathic nature. I bring keen diagnostic skills and depth of discernment to uncovering what is contributing to adjustment and relationship difficulties. I challenge my clients through teaching, coaching, and problem solving and provide feedback and guidance to sharpen the clarity of their understanding and to induce insight, awareness and self discovery. In the face of pain and suffering, I am compassionate and offer supportive, caring connection. I join with what is healthy to bring forward genuine self expression and interpersonal effectiveness. I respect the level at which clients choose to engage and provide knowledgeable inputs for their consideration. And for those seeking to undertake the level of depth work that can be truly healing and transformative, I am dedicated to providing strong support and guidance. I honor my clients' ability to access their own knowing and to judge what is right and good for themselves. I have 30+ years of professional experience as a clinical psychologist with subspecialty expertise as a neuropsychologist combined with the accumulated wisdom from a full life that has included marriage, raising three children and lifelong personal and spiritual growth work. I look forward to being of service to those seeking help with the practical, psychological and spiritual challenges of life.
