I was trained in cognitive-behavioral theory, so I will often highlight a client's negative or distorted way of thinking, which then leads them to a different -- and much more positive -- way of behaving. I tailor my style to clients' specific needs, so I sometimes use a more solution-focused or a Rogerian approach. Having said that, my goal is always the same -- to help clients learn the skills they need to lead richer and healthier emotional lives. I work from a short-term model, so I tend to see clients for about 12 sessions, although on occasion I see clients more often than that. I believe therapy can be tremendously rewarding, even life-changing. I see therapy as very much a collaborative process, so I like to ask clients for feedback throughout the process. I want the client's experience to be as valuable as possible.

My office is located in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., across the street from the National Zoo. It is close to two Metro stations, Cleveland Park and Woodley Park (red line). I offer day, evening and Saturday appointments, and I'm currently accepting new patients.
