My Approach to Helping
Suffering from stress, depression, anxiety? Feeling overwhelmed? Having serious relationship problems? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, I would like to help you. I'd do so by helping you find the solutions within yourself, that is, by helping you develop the unrealized potentials within yourself and your relationships. Maybe you need assistance in discovering these hidden possibilities. Or maybe you already know who you could become but are hindered by anxiety, depression, addictions, harmful attachments, or other obstacles. As you overcome these obstacles, you will start to feel better about yourself and about life.
More Info About My Practice
People differ in what helps them most. Some benefit from talking to someone who reflects back to them who they really are. Others want help understanding why they have become who they are. Still others seek advice solving specific problems. And others want to learn various skills, like constructive communication and assertiveness skills.
Most of my clients prefer a therapist who actively guides the therapy sessions. Clients who visit my office come from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. I especially enjoy working with people who are motivated to change. My PhD in Philosophical Psychology is from Brown University.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I'm especially adept at helping people make serious, significant changes in who they are and how they live. I imagine that this success comes from the fact that I have remade myself and my life direction in important ways and therefore understand in a deep way what this involves.
