My Approach to Helping
I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years, working with individuals couples and families. I work with individuals and families dealing with a wide range of issues, and with both traditional and non traditional families. Who ever I am working with, I pay attention to the context of people's lives and the importance of the significant relationships in our lives. As a family and couple therapist I work with the ways our interaction patterns serve to promote healing, and the ways that those patterns help to maintain problems. In difficult times both individuals and families can become focused on their problems, and the more positive parts of our lives can become diminished. I think that one of the important tasks of therapy is to help people to focus on and utilize their strengths and resources
