Today the GoodTherapy.org Team was pleased to experience the second teleconference in our Spring into Summer Teleconference Series: Wired for Intimacy: Awakening the I-and-Thou Experience in Couples Therapy presented by Hedy Schleifer, MA, LMHC. A big “thank you” to Hedy for taking the time to present her empathic & optimistic approach to enhancing and healing relationships: Tikkun Relational Therapy to GoodTherapy.org members.

Hedy, I want to thank you again. I loved your presentation and so much enjoyed your transparent and authentic style as you described your work and the stories from your own life and relationship. You have vibrancy, a hope, and an optimism that radiates from you and it is a joy to be around. It’s no wonder you are invited to travel the world to teach about relationships. I’m glad that you are out there doing what you do and I hope we can have you come back again.

I wanted to share that while taking notes, everytime I got to Visit or Crossing the Bridge, I kept writing Bride. I got that Hedy’s Judaism and mine were making a connection to Shekinah and the Sabbath, and how beautiful it made the idea of crossing over to visit the bride, the wisdom of God, the love of God and how the bride has that essence of the pure and potential Beingness of two people. And, later that day, I had two clients, a couple, who sat at the ends of the love seat. Things were pretty tense. So. . . I asked them if they would mind if we started with the question: What is your wildest dream about your life together? I believe it set the stage for some very deep and profound changes. Thank you. And thank you Noah, for bringing the voice of loving healing to the web.
