		<description>I think that this author is an extremely wise and gifted therapist. Rather than doing what he had learned in text books, he listened to his own intuition and really helped this woman in the way she needed it the most. A dying person doesn't need to be bothered with reaching potential. Instead, he or she needs to know that he or she is not alone and is understood.</description>

		<description>Yes, sometimes I find myself trying to predict what the client will say and plan my response for it rather than really being in the moment and listening. I think part of it is fear that I am not adequate in my judgment and that all that I learned in school is much superior to anything I could come up with on the fly.</description>

		<description>I really like the insight this author has into his own humanity and how that intertwines with his career as a therapist. I think we do often focus too much on the theories and rules of therapy we were taught in school rather than really being present with a client.</description>
