My Approach to Helping
I specialize in helping couples rebuild their emotional connection. I help you identify and understand the interaction patterns that are hurting your relationship, so you can get out of that negative cycle. Together we explore the underlying feelings and needs that aren't being met, which are at the heart of those patterns, and I help you create new cycles of interaction that are beneficial to form a secure and lasting bond. I want couples to experience effective, long-term results, so I use a proven method called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Developed by Sue Johnson, this approach encourages partners to examine how their communication styles and attachment experiences are present in their current communication and interactions. This method strives to rebuild the bonds that have been lost or injured, and reinforce the positive bonds that already exist. In short, it works!

More Info About My Practice
I also work with gifted children and their families. I help parents in understanding how to work successfully with the intensity, emotional sensitivity, and unique needs commonly found in their children. My work extends to families struggling with ADD/ADHD. I support adults and children to stengthen their abilities to focus, listen, organize, manage distractions, and stay with tasks until they're completed. This helps people find greater success in school, home, and the workplace.
