My Approach to Helping

Welcome. I work in a collaborative and compassionate style to help further understand and address the concerns that led you to this site, likely in search of some relief from the way you are currently feeling. All of us employ coping strategies, but when anxiety, depression, relational or life stress begin to overwhelm these strategies, it is often time to seek some professional assistance.

Together, we will work to outline coping strategies to reduce current distress and facilitate growth. We can identify goals for therapy and monitor progress on a regular basis through feedback and evaluation. Once you are feeling some relief from the immediate concerns that brought you to therapy, it may be helpful to continue to explore and further understand relationship patterns you'd like to change.

In addition to my practice, I am a supervising psychologist at UCLA. There, I work extensively with individuals navigating the complexities of career, identity, and transitional life issues. In addition, I continue to work with military veterans and families who may be having difficulty readjusting to civilian life.

Finding the right therapist to work with is important - feel free to contact me with any questions about our initial meeting.
