My Approach to Helping

So often, life transitions or crises, family, career, and social pressures, or physiological changes cause people to lose sight of their goals or fall off track in pursuing them. In a session, we will discover the sources of problems and conflicts. We will then develop and work through a game plan to get you back on track loving who you are, who you are with, and who you are becoming. My approach is based on family systems theory, in particular family of origin issues. I hold a masters degree from LIOS at Bastyr University and am currently working towards a professional certification in Chemical Dependency. Prior to counseling, I worked in Human Resources for ten years as a Regional HR Director, Recruiter, and Training Specialist. I provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere that is both direct and supportive. My hope is that our time together will be productive and constructive, allowing for opportunities and growth.
