Chen Z. Oren, Ph.D., Continuing Education Committee Member

Dr. Chen Oren is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Westlake Village, California. Dr. Oren received his Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Southern California. He has experience working in university counseling centers, community mental health, and private practice. Dr. Oren specializes in the psychology of men and sports psychology. He works with individuals and couples and co-leads a men's group. He speaks nationally and locally on issues of diversity, men, fathers, and sport psychology. In 2009 he co-edited Counseling Fathers (Routledge), a book designed to bridge the gap between fathers and professional helpers. He is currently conducting an exploratory national survey on fathers and therapy.
