My Approach to Helping
I offer a grounded, strengths-based approach to working with adults with Asperger Syndrome and those who suspect they may be on the spectrum. I offer diagnostic services and also work with partners and family members of people with Asperger's. The environment I provide is safe and non-judgmental. Clients use their sessions to first learn about their unique ways of interacting with others and the world and then to make concrete improvements to their lives. The therapy is often challenging, uplifting and comforting, with measurable results. I remain solution-focused while respecting that my clients control how they use their session time. Asperger's is a mixed bag of wonderful advantages and confusing challenges. Clients can learn to maximize their own unique set of characteristics. I enjoy my work immensely.
