My Approach to Helping
Your journey toward emotional well being and living an inspired life is worthwhile and meaningful. But sometimes it's hard to be positive when life feels out of balance. Maybe anxiety, depression, health concerns or a painful past have taken control. What can help is a safe, nurturing environment like the one I provide. In our work together, we'll help you resolve emotional stress so you can heal, thrive, and move into the life you long for.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Life experience is a powerful teacher. As a result of pursuing the healing of my mental health and chronic health concerns, I became deeply interested in supporting the healing of others. My own experience has shown me that that the mind and body are not separate. In fact, I learned that my physical health altered my mental health, and my mental health affected my physical health. I found that there is much more to healing than trying to "outthink" the problem. In our society, we are encouraged to disconnect from emotions and the body, and live in our heads. I could spend hours in my head thinking, but that never lead to improvement. After 30 years of research, we now have clear evidence that our mental health is intimately connected to the body--our physical health, how we hold and carry ourselves, and the parts of ourselves that feel stuck. My passion is helping you achieve healing by paying attention to both mind and body.
